Daniel K. Appelquist
Senior Technology Strategist, Vodafone
Daniel K. Appelquist is a Senior Technology Strategist working for Vodafone’s Industry Initiatives and Standardization team, focusing on Mobile Internet topics. He represents Vodafone in the W3C and in the Mobile Web Initiative which he helped create, and within which he chairs the Mobile Web Best Practices working group. He is also the alternate member of the Board of Directors for Vodafone for the dotMobi joint venture company. Before joining Vodafone, Daniel was a pioneer in the field of online content, working with publishers in the mid-90s to put content online using XML and SGML. He is a published author, speaker on technology topics, evangelist, sometime CTO and dot-com refugee. He also is the initiator of and co-organizer behind Mobile Monday London.
Simon Bureau
CEO, Vectis Corporation
Simon Bureau is CEO and Founder of Vectis Corporation, an independent firm that provides business development support services in the Korean market. He founded the company in Canada in 1998 and set up a permanent Korea office in 2001. Simon has witnessed major developments in the Korean market first-hand, having worked and lived in Korea on different occasions since 1986.
At Vectis, he has built a unique expertise in the Korean media, entertainment, telecom and IT sectors. He has successfully completed a wide range of consulting assignments and represented several world-class corporations in the Korean market. Recently he published a major market report on mobile music services in Korea and Japan.
Fabrizio Capobianco
CEO, Funambol
Fabrizio, a serial entrepreneur and veteran executive at Reuters and Tibco, founded the first Italian Web company, Internet Graffiti. He also founded Stigma Online, developer of an information portal product with customers that included Kraft, Novartis, Italian Broadcasting Television and the Italian Stock Exchange. A finance executive at Tibco when the division was acquired by Reuters, Fabrizio subsequently led the worldwide pre-sales, deployment and support of Reuters Mercury, a leading software solution for online trading. Fabrizio writes a monthly column for Wireless Magazine, and has taught courses on wireless and mBusiness strategies at the University of Pavia in Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Pavia in Italy.
Ted Cohen

A 30-year industry veteran, Ted Cohen is Senior Vice President of Digital Development & Distribution for EMI Music, overseeing worldwide digital business development. Under Cohen's strategic guidance, EMI has led the industry with its initiatives in new technologies and new business models. Previous experience includes running a successful consulting practice, as well as senior management positions at Warner Bros. Records and Philips Media.
Jarmo Eskelinen

Elukka Eskelinen has his background in media production, club promotion and architecture. He is an expert in the areas of digital media, creative industries, urban culture and project management.
Elukka is the executive director of Forum Virium Helsinki, an industry cluster developing customer need driven digital services and contents. The cluster is formed by 16 major Finnish and international companies. The public sector is represented by the City of Helsinki and the key funding bodies of the Finnish innovation system, such as TEKES (National Technology Agency of Finland). Forum Virium Helsinki realises practice-based research projects, utilising open innovation and service design methods.

Hansen Yip works as a consultant in Global ICT Team in Finpro and he is also the founder of Mobile Monday Hong Kong Chapter. He is based in Hong Kong and is particularly responsible for driving the business of Finnish ICT companies in Asia. Finpro is focused on accelerating the internationalization of Finnish companies. Finpro's Global ICT Team has professionals who know both the ICT business and the global markets. They are backed by more than 30 local ICT business experts in our Trade Centers worldwide.
Hansen has 7 years experience in developing international marketing strategies and consulting for ICT companies working together with the clients in all the phases of internationalization from analyzing business opportunities to sparring the strategy development, from partner search to concrete implementation of market entry. Prior to this, Hansen had also several years experience in Smart Card industry in France and 10 Asian countries. He has a Bachelor in Electronics and Telecommunication, a Postgraduate in International Marketing and he's also a Chartered Marketer in CIM UK.

Claude Florin

Claude Florin is Strategic Marketing Manager HP’s OpenCall Business Unit. He leads development of HP’s video messaging and entertainment solutions for service providers worldwide.
During his career at Hewlett-Packard he launched the medical imaging systems program and served as Corporate R&D Manager for participation in European Commission communication research program, contributing to development of the Web at CERN and html at W3C. In 1997 he became Marketing Manager for HP’s Communications Management Division, delivering OpenView the first GSM operator and launching HP’s service provisioning solutions. In 1989 he joined Telecom Infrastructure Division, as Business Manager for IP convergent solutions. He engineered the largest worldwide Voice over IP network and most innovative triple play service provider.

Marjaana Karjalainen works as Head of ICT Industry in Finpro. She is responsible for Finpro’s ICT Industry business globally. She is based in Milan. Jonas Kjellberg

Jonas Kjellberg has been the Managing Director for Skype since June 1, 2006. Mr. Kjellberg has extensive management experience, having previously held such posts as Vice President Lycos Europe, Managing Director Communities; Managing Director Campuz Mobile AB; and Managing Director Optimal Telecom. Mr. Kjellberg is also one of the founders of Mobyson, an established mobile service provider.

Harri Koponen took the helm at Wataniya Telecom as its GM & CEO in September 2004, joining the company from an extensive experience in Telecom industry and a rich company management background which was the major asset in positioning Wataniya today, the leading provider of mobile services in Kuwait and the Middle East region as well.
Koponen enjoys a rich carrier portfolio; he recently served as Deputy CEO of TeliaSonera Ab (merger between Swedish and Finnish Telecoms) where he was responsible for the company’s international operations including Eurasia, Russia and Turkey, as well as international carrier.

Before that, he worked for Novo Group Plc as R&D Manager (1998-2001) responsible for heading the development team and developing service concepts, Consultant at Ohjelmistoyhtiö Tiihonen Oy (1991-1998) and in application development duties at Tietotehdas Oy (1989-91).
Christian Lindholm

Christian Lindholm is the Vice President of Global Mobile Products for Yahoo!, leading the development of all mobile products and services for the company. As a visionary creator of software based products with extensive experience in the development of compelling user experiences, Christian is tasked with ensuring Yahoo! creates compelling mobile services for consumers. The mobile team at Yahoo! is focused on extending the company’s core services beyond the desktop and offering engaging services with leading wireless providers.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, Christian worked at Nokia for ten years in a variety of roles. Most recently he was the Director of Multimedia Applications for the Nokia Ventures Organization. In this role he led the team which created the Nokia Lifeblog, a multimedia diary that enables users to seamlessly enjoy, share, keep, and find personal content on their phone, PC and share content via blogs on Internet or Flickr.
Dr. Madan Mohan Rao
Research Director, Asian Media Information and Communication centre (AMIC)
Dr. Madan Mohan Rao is a new-media consultant and author based in Bangalore, India. He is the editor of three book series: "The Asia-Pacific Internet Handbook," "The Knowledge Management Chronicles" and "AfricaDotEdu". Madan currently serves on the nominating committee of ICANN (www.icann.org), and was on the international board of directors of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (www.cpsr.org). He is also editor-at-large of DestinationKM and contributor to the Poynter Institute blog on new media trends. Madan was on the international editorial board of the recently published book, "Transforming e-Knowledge."
Madan was formerly the communications director at the United Nations Inter Press Service bureau in New York, and vice president at IndiaWorld Communications in Bombay. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology at Bombay and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with an M.S. in computer science and a Ph.D. in communications.
Miika Nevalainen

Miika Nevalainen works as Senior Consultant for Finpro North America, Silicon Valley in Palo Alto, CA, focusing on information technology, software and telecommunications technologies. Finpro is a consulting organization bridging Finnish companies with international markets. In addition to focusing on the North American markets, Miika works for Finpro’s global ICT industry team, helping clients leverage opportunities in the worldwide markets.
Miika has held various business and technology positions telecommunications, software and IT industries, working in the international corporate world as well as in the startup environment. Prior to Finpro Miika worked for Nokia in Mountain View, California. Miika has gained international experience from the USA, Europe and Israel. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki, Finland. Additionally, Miika holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (USA) and Tel Aviv University (Israel).
Mark Newman

Mark Newman leads Informa Telecoms and Media’s global research and business intelligence teams and activities. In this new role, Newman is responsible for developing Informa Telecoms and Media’s thought leadership in the converging mobile, broadband and entertainment sectors.

Eero Punkka

Suunto is a developer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative high-tech instruments for sports enthusiasts. Eero Punkka has worked for Suunto since 1999 running the R&D department, and he is currently responsible for new product concepts, technologies and product platforms within Suunto.
Eero Punkka holds a degree of Doctor of Technology in applied physics from Helsinki University of Technology. He has over 20 years of hands-on experience from applied research to product development and production of high-tech electronic devices and instruments. The former career includes engineering and managerial positions at VTI Technologies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and State Research Centre of Finland.
Rodrigo Sepúlveda Schulz

Rodrigo Sepúlveda Schulz, 35, is the co-founder and managing partner of RISC Partners, a seed-stage investment boutique, to which he brings over 10 years experience in Internet strategy, entrepreneurship and management consulting. His latest venture, vpod.tv, where he serves as CEO and is a co-founder, aims to simplify the technical barriers to publishing video online and to enable users to easily create their personal online TV.
At RISC Partners, Rodrigo was instrumental in the successful launch of glowria.fr, a pan-European DVD rental & VOD service, serving as a board member for two years and later as interim CEO. In 2004, he also led the mobile strategy team for AOL Europe. Previously, Rodrigo was a principal with Gemini Consulting, and a manager (founder of the e-business practice) at KPMG Consulting France, leading large scale European e-commerce projects. He started his career as a consultant to the European operations of Intel and Novell.
Rodrigo is a Computer Science Engineer from EPITA, a graduate from the Sorbonne MBA (IAE de Paris), and holds an MBA from INSEAD, including an exchange term at the MBA program of the Wharton School in Philadelphia. He is a Chilean national, and settled in France almost 20 years ago. His blog (http://sepulveda.net) was named in the top 500 by Feedster in December 2005.

Peter has spent the last 14 years at HP working on various mobility related projects and activities including the HP Mobile E-Services Bazaar. He has also participated in launching & driving key mobile industry initiatives and standards like the Open Mobile Alliance, Liberty Alliance and MobileMonday.
Matti Vikkula

Executive Vice President Matti Vikkula is in charge of Elisa Corporation’s Consumer and Small Enterprise Customer business. Member of the Corporate Executive Board as of 1 January 2006.
Main employment history: CEO of Saunalahti Group Oyj as of 2001. He has also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Mecrastor, among others, and as the CEO of Nobiscum-Group in management consulting.
Main board memberships and public duties currently undertaken: Member of the Board of Directors of Ruukki Group Oyj; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kristina Cruises Oy.
Jussi Wacklin

Mr. Jussi Wacklin joined Nokia 1999. Since then he has held several management positions in project management, technology development and marketing. In 2004, he was heading technology department in Nokia Multimedia, Games Business Unit based in San Francisco. Currently, Mr. Wacklin is heading technology and business to business marketing team in Nokia Multimedia and he is located in Nokia headquarter in Espoo, Finland.
Björn Zethraeus
VP of Sales and Marketing, Ericsson
Björn Zethraeus is VP of Sales and Marketing of Ericsson IPX, a payment and connection service that enables content and application providers to charge for and deliver digital content to subscribers regardless of which operator they use. Ericsson IPX has grown tremendously since it was founded by Björn three years ago. In that time it has grown to be a global solution that, making use of Ericsson's strength in market presence and technology, is continuously being introduced into new markets.
In his current position he is globally responsible for sales and marketing, as well as the establishment of new IPX markets. Since he joined Ericsson in 1990, Björn has had several management positions within Ericsson. Before starting IPX, Björn was the General Manager for Mobile Internet Solutions in Hong Kong and China and in this position he was responsible for, among others, the introduction of SMS and WAP and positioning of Ericsson as the leading company in Mobile Internet in China.
Björn holds a MSc from Linkoping Institute of Technology, Sweden.
